Hello,

I am on the search for a new webhost and stumbled upon Sharkspace. I am not new to the internet, but am really tired of playing the "hosting merry-go-round" that I seem to have been on the last couple of years.

I do my research and pick a host that I think is going to be where I can stay for the long term, and then 7 or 8 months down the road, things start to go downhill, whether it be with poor customer support or continued downtime issues.

I really just want a host that will be around for the long term, one that I can depend on for the next 2, 3 5 years and beyond.

I currently have 2 reseller accounts with another host, one for my own sites and one for my clients sites. While I only have a couple of current clients, I am getting ready to launch a full-service internet consulting business, and want to keep my clients sites on a separate account than my own sites, so I really only need billing software on one of the reseller accounts, but my own site has several php scripts such as Amember, a phpbb forum, WP blog and Jrox Affiliate Management script.

I've been reading some good reviews so far, regarding Sharkspace and my main question is will Sharkspace move both reseller accounts?

I am currently using WHMCS billing. What is the difference between WHMCS and the Client Exec that you offer as an add-on?

I've read more great reviews about WHMCS.

Thanks for your help!

Patty

Yes, we can move them as long as you currently are on a Cpanel server. If you want us to verify please open a sales ticket with your domain and we can check for you.

Your WHMCS install can be transferred over to our servers and will run great. There is no need to switch billing systems.

And to answer your question about separate reseller accounts.

We can place the accounts on separate servers in different data centers to make your company very diversified.

Thanks so much for the quick reply!

I don't think my current WHMCS can be moved, though. The license for it was actually purchased by my current host as they offer it free as part of their hosting package. So, technically, they own the license for it.

I really don't need a complicated billing system, since most of my clients are going to be offline entities, just something that will integrate with Paypal. I've never used anything other than WHMCS, which is why I was wondering if there was any major differences between it and Client Exec that you offer.

That would be great. I would prefer them to be on separate servers.

We actually are discontinuing ClientExec at the end of next month due to the low demand for it. Most clients prefer WHMCS over ClientExec. You can order a license from WHMCS directly http://whmcs.com/order.php

If you order a new license then all you would need to do is update the license key in your WHMCS install and it would work fine on our servers.

If you need a simple billing system, you can try http://phpcoin.com/
which is free and can be installed using our script installer.

I suppose I could use phpcoin for the time being and then when Sharkspace has WHMCS ready, I could just make the switch at that time?

Yes, if we offer WHMCS you could switch at that time.

Thanks, Scott.

One more quick question. If I choose one of the smaller plans, it is simple enough to just upgrade to more space / bandwith when the time comes without interruption?

Yes, upgrades are very easy to do and have no service interruption.
