What Exactly Is A Parked Domain?

I read the documents on it in the cpanel and on these forums and i still dont get it completely...

Ok say for example you own yoursite.com and also own yoursite.net and yoursite.org

If you parked the .net and .org domains on your .com account they would all then go to yoursite.com


You can park any domain you want on top of another domain.
