Hello there,

Is there any way around using port 2082 to connect to cpanel? The port 2082 seems to be blocked at my end. so I can never connect to my cpanel. All suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

That is the port cpanel runs on and cannot be changed. You will need to open it up in your computer firewall. This is the first case that I have seen it ever blocked. You must have a strict firewall setup.

Ok all you '2082' problems out there, if you cannot log onto 'cpanel' try the following.
1st change your windows security level, if this does'nt work and you are using a router then that is the problem. Most routers have a firewall of sorts and unless it is set to allow 2082 to be used you ain't gonna get through. Personally I disable the firewall on the router as it is a pain in the butt. Leave security up to Windows or your virus program.

You can now bypass the firewall issue altogether by using:

cpanel.yourdomain.com

(Just replace yourdomain with your domain :)
