New Spam Email Protection!

To help fight the increasing issue of spam email, SharkSpace will be implementing the following spam blacklists:

dnsbl.njabl.org
bl.spamcop.net
sbl.spamhaus.org
list.dsbl.org

The above lists block known spam sources. It is estimated that they will block 70% of spam that you now receive.

All SharkSpace servers will have this new spam protection installed by January 20th, 2007.

Update:

We are receiving very good feedback on the servers we implemented this on. It seems to be cutting the amount of spam by over 50%.

The following servers now have the new spam protection:

Discovery
Atlantic
Future
Pacific
Jupiter
Shark
Eagle
Arctic
Tiger
Mars
Southern
Indian


The remainder of the servers should be done by Thursday, ahead of our schedule.
